MUSCAT: Oman will observe an official holiday on Thursday, August 27, 2026, to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday, giving employees a three-day weekend.
The announcement comes under a policy approved by the Council of Ministers to declare national and religious public holidays in advance at the beginning of each Gregorian calendar year.
With Thursday designated as a holiday, employees will have an extended weekend from August 27 to August 29, with regular working hours resuming on Sunday, August 30.
