DUBAI : The UAE Ministry of Defence said air defence systems were responding to the threat and asked the public to remain in safe locations and follow official channels for further warnings and updates. The ministry added that any sounds heard during the incident could be linked to air defence interception operations.
The Ministry of Interior also issued an emergency notification to mobile phones warning residents of a potential missile threat and directing them to immediately move to the nearest secure building.
Authorities later sent an all-clear message through the UAE’s national early warning system, confirming that the situation was safe.
