Oil prices rise as Middle East tensions persist

Oil prices rose today as the prospects of reaching an agreement to end the war in the Middle East diminished, boosting concerns about energy supplies.

SINGAPORE: Brent crude futures rose 27 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $91.14 a barrel, after hitting their highest level since July 30 on Monday.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 42 cents to $85.04 a barrel, after climbing more than 1 percent earlier in the session to $85.37, its highest level since July 31.
