MUSCAT : The projects are aligned with the economic and development priorities of Oman Vision 2040, particularly efforts to accelerate governorate development, promote sustainable cities and strengthen economic diversification across the Sultanate.

Khaled bin Sulaiman Al Salehi, General Manager of Marketing and Commercial Affairs and official spokesperson for Madayn, said the new industrial cities will be developed in Al Suwaiq, Al Mudhaibi, Thumrait and Mudhaffar.

He said the projects form part of Madayn’s efforts to enhance Oman’s investment environment, support sustainable economic growth and develop modern industrial destinations equipped with advanced infrastructure and integrated logistics services.

Before establishing new industrial cities, Madayn evaluates their potential contribution to balanced spatial development and the competitiveness of individual governorates.

The organisation also focuses on strengthening the role of the private sector as a key partner in leading the national economy, creating an attractive labour market for Omani talent and specialised skills, and supporting the sustainable use of natural resources.
