MUSCAT : The agreement was signed by His Excellency Eng. Yaqoub bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Fisheries, and Ali bin Mohammed Al Mashali, CEO of Meridian Engineering Consultancy.
Under the agreement, the consultancy firm will undertake specialised technical studies and prepare the engineering designs required for the project, while supervising implementation to ensure it meets high standards of quality and operational efficiency.
The South Al Sharqiyah Fishery Industries City is a strategic project aimed at strengthening infrastructure to support the growth of Oman’s fisheries industries and increase the sector’s added value.
The project is aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to diversify the country’s sources of national income, promote sustainable economic development and accelerate growth across the governorates.
