MUSCAT – The Environment Authority in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), confiscated more than four tonnes of firewood during an inspection campaign targeting unlicensed firewood sales outlets in Taqah and Salalah.
The campaign was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to protect Oman’s natural resources and combat illegal logging practices that threaten the environment and vegetation cover.
