MUSCAT — Oman has introduced a new 14-day tourist visa free of charge as part of amendments to the Executive Regulations of the Foreigners’ Residence Law, according to a decision issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The amendments, issued under Decision No. 109/2026, create a new category of tourist visa that allows nationals of specified countries to enter Oman for a stay of up to 14 days, subject to conditions set by the relevant authorities.

Under the revised regulations, holders of the free 14-day tourist visa may convert it, before its expiry, into any other category of tourist visa provided for under the Executive Regulations, provided they meet the applicable requirements and pay the prescribed fees.

The decision formally adds the new visa category to the entry visa provisions of the Executive Regulations and sets its fee at zero Omani rials, making it free for eligible travellers.

The ROP said the amendments will take effect on the day following their publication in the Official Gazette. Any provisions that conflict with the new regulations have been repealed.
