MUSCAT : The authority said snakes are not a form of entertainment or content creation, cautioning that attempts to capture close-up images or interact with them could turn curiosity into a dangerous situation requiring emergency assistance.

It explained that snakes are an important part of Oman’s ecosystem, contributing to ecological balance and playing a role in maintaining the health of natural environments. The authority urged people not to disturb snakes, as they live within their natural habitats and have an essential role in biodiversity.

The Environment Authority advised the public to avoid trying to catch snakes, move closer to them, or pose for photographs with them. Instead, people should keep a safe distance and allow wildlife to remain undisturbed.
