NEW DELHI: Veteran Malayalam star Mammootty and Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan shared the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards, the winners of which were announced in New Delhi on Saturday.
Mammootty received the honour for his critically acclaimed performance in Bramayugam, while Kartik Aaryan was recognised for his role in Chandu Champion. Actress Yami Gautam won the Best Actress award for her performance in Article 370.
The National Film Awards, India’s most prestigious government-backed film honours, recognise excellence in filmmaking across feature films, non-feature films and technical categories.
