Muscat: The national team secured a convincing 3-0 victory in their opening Group B match, winning the sets 25-19, 25-17 and 25-20. The result gave Oman their first three points of the tournament and strengthened their chances of competing for one of the two semi-final qualification spots from the group.

The championship, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman from July 14 to 21, features seven national teams: Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

Oman have been drawn in Group B alongside Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, while Group A includes Qatar, Kuwait and Syria. The tournament is being played in a single round-robin format in each group, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
