Amman: The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army announced today that its air defence systems successfully intercepted and downed three ballistic missiles after they entered Jordanian airspace.
A responsible military source from the command, in a statement carried by the Jordanian News Agency “Petra”, said the operation was carried out as part of approved operational and defensive procedures aimed at protecting Jordan’s borders, airspace and the safety of its citizens.
The source confirmed that the interception did not result in any human casualties or material damage.

The Royal Jordanian Engineering Corps later dealt with shrapnel that fell in a number of locations, following approved technical and security procedures. The sites were secured and all necessary measures were taken, the source added.
