London: The Italian tennis star overcame a first-set setback to beat second-ranked Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a thrilling championship clash.
After dropping a tight opening set, Sinner responded with composure, winning the second-set tie-break before taking control of the contest in the third and fourth sets. The victory gave the world No. 1 his second Wimbledon title and fifth Grand Slam crown.
With the win, Sinner strengthened his status at the top of men’s tennis and narrowed the Grand Slam gap with rival Carlos Alcaraz, who has seven major titles.
