TOKYO – Japan’s public broadcaster NHK reported in its English-language bulletin today that Japan Airlines has cancelled approximately 48 flights scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, including flights to and from Naha, Miyako, and Painushima Ishigaki airports in Okinawa Prefecture.
Flights serving Kagoshima Airport and airports on remote islands in Kagoshima Prefecture have also been cancelled as a precaution.
Other airlines have warned that additional flight disruptions are possible depending on the typhoon’s path and weather conditions, urging passengers to check the latest flight information before travelling.
