MUSCAT : India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, will begin a two-day official visit to Oman on Thursday, where he is expected to hold high-level discussions aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the visit, Jaishankar will meet Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, to review the full spectrum of India-Oman relations and assess progress on decisions taken during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Oman in December 2025.
The discussions are also expected to focus on the implementation of the India-Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into force on June 1, 2026, as well as key regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The visit follows Jaishankar’s engagements in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait and is expected to further deepen the longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation between India and Oman.
