MUSCAT : The CPA, in cooperation with several government agencies, confiscated 34 packets of cigarettes, 118 bags of chewing tobacco, and 11 packs of gypsum material, all of which are prohibited goods.
The operation, carried out by the Consumer Protection Department in North Al Sharqiyah, represented by the Sinaw Office, targeted violations involving expatriate workers and unlicensed street vendors.
The Consumer Protection Authority said the seized items were withdrawn from circulation and the necessary legal procedures were initiated against the violators by the competent authorities.
