MUSCAT : The Ministry stressed the importance of completing and submitting valid premarital medical examination certificates before concluding any marriage contract, in line with Article 4 of the Royal Decree, which prohibits the formalisation of marriage without the required medical documentation from both parties.
It also cautioned that failure to comply with the decree carries legal consequences under Article 5, which stipulates penalties including imprisonment for a period ranging from 10 days to six months, and/or a fine between RO 100 and RO 1,000.
