ALBERTVILLE : The joint Omani military band is taking part in events marking the 46th edition of Albertville International Military Music Festival. The festival marks the 400th anniversary of foundation of the French National Navy.
The main events of the festival will be held on 4 and 5 July 2026 in the city of Albertville.
Albertville International Military Music Festival is the oldest extravaganza of its kind in France. This year’s programme features various resounding parades and musical performances at Olympia Hall in Paris.

The Omani band’s first performances in the festival began with musical pieces at Château Manuel de Locatel castle at the foot of the historic city of Conflans. The performance showcased the Omani band’s advanced artistic caliber.
Lt. Col. Said bin Sheikhan Al Toobi, head of the Omani team, said that Oman’s participation in the event seeks to highlight the outstanding military discipline of the band and enhance cultural exchange with the French public.
Participation in the 46th edition of Albertville International Military Music Festival reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to boost its cultural presence in international forums and highlight the Omani military identity.
