MUSCAT : Air India Express has restored connectivity across its entire West Asia network with the resumption of flights to Salalah in Oman and Kuwait, marking a full return of services to all its destinations in the region.

The airline resumed its Kozhikode-Salalah service on July 2, with flights operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The move strengthens air connectivity between southern India and Oman’s Dhofar Governorate during the peak Khareef tourism season.

Air India Express said services between Kozhikode and Kuwait will restart from July 3, while Bengaluru-Kuwait flights will resume from July 4, with frequencies set to increase progressively over the coming days.

With the restoration of Salalah flights, the airline now operates from two airports in Oman – Muscat International Airport and Salalah International Airport. The carrier has also reinstated its Muscat-Mangaluru route from July 3 and currently operates around 40 weekly flights from Muscat to seven destinations across India.

The airline said all Kuwait-bound and Kuwait-originating flights will operate from Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport.

Air India Express currently serves 13 destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The carrier operates around 780 weekly flights between India and West Asia, connecting 18 Indian cities directly with the region.

The airline has recently expanded its international network with new routes linking Navi Mumbai and Abu Dhabi, Guwahati and Abu Dhabi, Guwahati and Dubai, Bengaluru and Phuket, and Pune and Amritsar.
