Washington: The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has announced that spectator attendance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has crossed the five-million mark during the France-Sweden clash in the Round of 32.
The milestone makes the tournament, being jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the first FIFA World Cup to surpass five million stadium spectators.
For the first time, the tournament features 48 teams and a total of 104 matches across the three host nations.
