MUSCAT – The municipality has reminded the public and contractors that complying with health and safety requirements for sewage transport vehicles is a shared responsibility aimed at protecting the environment, ensuring public safety and improving quality of life across the Governorate of Muscat.
The municipality stressed that sewage transport vehicles must meet specific health standards to prevent environmental hazards and maintain safe sanitation practices.
The guidelines require vehicles to be specialised for sewage transport only and not used for other purposes. They must also have secure tanks designed to prevent leaks and unpleasant odours while ensuring safe operations.
