RIYADH – A helicopter operated by Saudi oil giant Saudi Aramco crashed in eastern Saudi Arabia on Sunday, killing at least 14 people on board, Saudi state media reported.

The helicopter went down in the Ras Tanura area on the Kingdom’s Gulf coast, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Authorities said the cause of the crash was not immediately known and an investigation had been launched.

No further details were provided on the identities of those killed or the circumstances surrounding the accident.
