ALGIERS – These agreements covered the fields of logistics services, food and fish industries, building materials, manufacturing industries, and industrial and commercial products. This comes within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing the presence of Omani products in African and international markets and supporting the growth of non-oil exports, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 regarding the diversification of income sources and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
The Sultanate of Oman is currently participating in the fair with 20 Omani companies representing a number of vital economic sectors, reflecting the growing competitive presence of Omani products in regional and international markets.
These sectors include food and beverages, fish and seafood, iron and building materials, the agricultural sector and fertilizers, plastics, buses and commercial vehicles, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and logistics services, alongside the perfume, frankincense, water, confectionery, and handicraft industries.
These agreements come within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing economic and commercial relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Algerian Republic, and opening new horizons for investment partnerships, thereby contributing to expanding the presence of Omani companies in African markets.
The fair constitutes an important platform for concluding commercial deals and holding bilateral meetings between Omani businesspeople and their counterparts from various countries around the world, which contributes to enhancing commercial and investment exchange.
Through this participation, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion also seeks to explore the growth and expansion opportunities available to national companies. It aims to learn about the latest updates, developments, and innovations across various economic sectors, which enhances the efficiency of their presence in foreign markets, supports the paths of economic diversification, and boosts the competitiveness of Omani products in regional and international markets.
The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Saif Nasser Al Badaai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, in the presence of a number of officials from Oman Exports and representatives of the Omani companies participating in the fair.
