MUSCAT– The Sultan’s Armed Forces shooting team delivered a strong performance at the British Shooting Association and British Army Shooting Association Championships in the United Kingdom, winning several titles and top individual honours during the competition running until June 21.
The Omani team claimed five cups in the British Army Shooting Association events and added two more cups along with several first-place finishes in the British Shooting Association competitions.
Among the standout performers, Warrant Officer Azzan bin Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Abri of the Royal Guard of Oman won the prestigious King’s Shooting Medal in the international shooters category.

Lieutenant Saeed bin Salem Al-Mashikari of the Royal Oman Police secured first place in the Pen Reorganisation competition, while Sergeant Hamad bin Nasser Al-Kiyumi of the Royal Air Force of Oman topped the Defence competition.
Lieutenant Colonel Muslim bin Abdullah Al-Subhi, commander of the International Shooting Unit and head of the delegation, said the results reflected the team’s high level of preparation and training, adding that the championship featured strong competition from British and international teams.
