WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have electronically signed a landmark memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, according to officials involved in the negotiations.

The agreement, known as the Islamabad Memorandum, was brokered with the support of Pakistan and is intended to bring an immediate halt to military operations while creating a framework for broader diplomatic engagement between the parties.

Pakistani authorities said the memorandum has officially entered into force and represents a significant breakthrough in efforts to de-escalate tensions that have threatened regional stability and global energy markets.
