MUSCAT — The ministry said the planned city will span a total area of 6.5 square kilometres and will feature integrated residential neighbourhoods, commercial destinations, cultural and community facilities, as well as public spaces aimed at enhancing quality of life.
According to details released by the ministry, the project will include main parks, pedestrian-friendly areas and recreational facilities intended to support modern urban living close to Sultan Qaboos Port in Sohar.
The development is part of Oman’s broader efforts to expand sustainable urban planning initiatives and create integrated cities aligned with Oman Vision 2040 goals.

The ministry added that consultancy tenders for the detailed masterplan and engineering designs of the project have already been floated.
