DUBAI : The comprehensive insurance solutions provider announced the addition of new policies covering damage and disruption linked to war, terrorism, sabotage, strikes, riots and political violence, amid growing concerns over global supply chain instability and regional tensions.
The expanded offering includes Marine War on Land, which protects cargo and goods exposed to war-related risks during inland transit, as well as Marine Cargo War Risks for maritime cargo shipments.
Orient Insurance has also introduced Political Violence, including War, for Personal Vehicles, extending protection to privately owned vehicles against damage caused by war, terrorism, sabotage, strikes and riots. A similar cover has been launched for residential properties, offering homeowners protection against property damage resulting from political violence-related events.

The move comes as businesses operating through the UAE increasingly seek specialised coverage to address gaps left by standard insurance policies, particularly for goods transported across complex trade routes involving ports, sea freight, road transit and storage facilities.
Importers, exporters, freight forwarders and logistics operators are expected to benefit from the enhanced protection as trade activity across regional and global corridors continues to grow.
The new portfolio also targets residents looking for stronger safeguards for personal assets that may not be fully covered under regular motor or home insurance policies.
