MUSCAT : The Fisheries Control Team in Muscat Governorate carried out a field inspection campaign in the Al-Qurm area after receiving information through the Tajawob platform regarding suspected fishing violations.
During the operation, officials confiscated two artisanal fishing boats that were found using encircling nets without obtaining the required license, in violation of the Law on Living Aquatic Resources and its Executive Regulations.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures against the violators are currently underway.
