MUSCAT : His Excellency Sulayem Ali Sulayem Al-Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, chaired an extensive meeting at the Authority’s Head Office on May 13 with Directors General, departments of the Authority, livestock suppliers, importers, and competent entities in the livestock sales sector as part of preparations for the upcoming Eid season.
The meeting focused on intensifying market inspections ahead of Eid Al-Adha, a period that typically witnesses increased consumer demand and heightened purchasing activity in livestock markets.
During the discussions, the Authority stressed the importance of strengthening direct communication and cooperation between the CPA and suppliers to maintain market balance and ensure the smooth availability of livestock for consumers.

The Authority noted that closer institutional and field coordination with suppliers and importers plays a key role in protecting consumer interests, monitoring market practices, and supporting price stability during peak seasons.
