MUSCAT : According to its Annual Report 2025, the development of Food City stood out as one of the most significant initiatives aimed at strengthening food security and ensuring sustainable supply chains in Oman. Investments in the project reached nearly RO 167 million across 23 projects, including the Silal Central Market, Industrial Bakery, and several food and biotechnology factories.
Khazaen also revealed that its Pharmaceutical City has emerged as the country’s largest integrated complex for human, veterinary pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The city attracted 12 projects worth around RO 177 million, contributing towards enhancing pharmaceutical security and reducing dependence on imports.
In the logistics sector, investments exceeding RO 50 million were allocated across 25 projects focused on developing modern logistics hubs and strengthening cold chain supply systems.

Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector recorded substantial expansion with the localization of 81 projects valued at approximately RO 350 million. The report noted that these projects have played a key role in boosting local value addition and increasing national exports.
Commenting on the achievements, Salim bin Sulaiman Al-Thuhli said the city has become one of the fastest-growing and most attractive investment destinations over the past two years. He added that Khazaen has also received several local and regional recognitions, including the Best Investment Destination Award.
