MUSCAT : The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Research said it had identified a new scam method in which fraudsters use online platforms to advertise fake vacancies attributed to the Royal Oman Police in an attempt to deceive victims and carry out financial fraud.
Authorities urged citizens and residents to verify the authenticity and source of any job advertisements circulating online and to avoid interacting with unofficial entities or suspicious recruitment platforms.
The ROP also called on the public to report any suspicious activity or fraudulent advertisements immediately to the relevant authorities.
