MUSCAT : The decision reflects the Authority’s commitment to limiting single-use materials and encouraging employees to adopt environmentally friendly alternatives, particularly reusable water bottles, in line with national sustainability objectives.
Officials said the move is intended to reduce environmental impact within the workplace while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among staff and visitors.
The Authority noted that the policy aligns with its broader direction to promote sustainable practices and support efforts to minimise plastic consumption across institutional operations.
It added that the initiative contributes to building a more conscious work environment and encourages behavioural change towards long-term environmental protection in Oman.
