MUSCAT : In its monthly seasonal outlook, the authority said rainfall across most regions is likely to remain around the climatic average, while coastal areas in the south and southeast may experience above-average precipitation.
Temperatures, meanwhile, are projected to range from around average to above average in most parts of the country during May.
The broader May–July 2026 outlook indicates a continued warming trend, with temperatures expected to be above average across Oman in June and July.
Rainfall is forecast to remain around average nationwide in June, with a possibility of below-average levels along the southeastern and southern coasts, before declining to below-average levels across the Sultanate in July.
Oman Meteorology noted that its seasonal bulletins provide an initial long-range indication of expected weather patterns, but emphasised the importance of monitoring regular short- and medium-term forecasts for more accurate and timely updates.
