MUSCAT : Organised by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Youth in the governorate, the event featured the participation of a group of specialists and individuals interested in cultural and heritage affairs.
Abdulmohsin Said Al Marhoubi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the seminar, stated that the event serves as an intellectual and cultural platform highlighting the role of society in shaping civilization and preserving legacy. He noted that it aims to build the future by linking the past with the present and envisioning the future, while working to enhance awareness of national identity and preserve the civilizational heritage, which is a fundamental pillar in building societies and sustaining their development.
The event included field visits to several archaeological sites in the wilayat, a panel discussion, and the presentation of scientific research papers.
The seminar aims to enhance awareness of authentic Omani heritage, work toward the cultural and intellectual empowerment of society, and transmit cultural legacy to future generations using modern methods. It also seeks to highlight the historical and civilizational contributions of Omani society and strengthen the role of the media in disseminating awareness.
The event was held under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ali Masoud Al Sunaidi, Advisor at the Diwan of Royal Court.
