MUSCAT : In his call with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, both sides reviewed developments in the region, with emphasis on de-escalation efforts and the need to prioritise political rapprochement. The ministers stressed the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding as key tools to safeguard regional security and stability.
In a separate call with UK Foreign Secretary Her Excellency Yvette Cooper, His Excellency Sayyid Badr discussed ways to defuse rising tensions and advance diplomatic and political solutions. The talks also addressed the importance of ensuring the safe and uninterrupted flow of maritime navigation in the Gulf and through the Strait of Hormuz, underscoring its significance to global economic stability.
