Muscat: Brent crude futures for June delivery jumped by $5.27, or 4.5 percent, to reach $123.30 per barrel, building on a strong 6.1 percent gain recorded in the previous trading session. The June contract, which is set to expire today, has now risen for the ninth consecutive day, reflecting sustained upward momentum in the market.
Meanwhile, the more actively traded July Brent contract climbed $2.66, or 2.4 percent, to $113.10 per barrel, following a 5.8 percent increase in the previous session.
In the United States, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for June delivery also posted gains, rising $2.42, or 2.3 percent, to $109.30 per barrel. This comes after a significant 7 percent jump in the prior session.
