BEIJING – A delegation from the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones is currently on an official visit to China to explore advanced pharmaceutical industries and medical technologies, while also enhancing cooperation in logistics services and petroleum derivatives storage.
The delegation is headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Vice Chairman of the Authority, and includes officials from key economic entities such as Khazaen Economic City and Sohar Port.
During the visit, the Omani delegation toured several Chinese cities, where they met with government officials, representatives of biopharmaceutical companies, and operators of oil and petroleum storage facilities. The programme also included field visits to advanced economic zones and manufacturing facilities specialising in medical equipment production.
Chinese companies reportedly expressed strong interest in investing in Oman and in gaining a deeper understanding of the incentives offered within its industrial and free zone ecosystem.
