MUSCAT – This integrated project, featuring a hotel and private residences, aims to blend high-end hospitality with the rugged terrain of the Sultanate’s iconic foothills.
The Dubai-based group said the proposed project would be located at the foothills of the mountain, with early concepts outlining a tiered masterplan that combines a hotel, private residences and lifestyle components across multiple elevations.
Initial plans indicate the development will be shaped around the site’s natural terrain, with structures positioned to maximise views while maintaining privacy. The design envisions interconnected yet distinct levels, allowing different parts of the project to retain their own character.
Chedi Hospitality noted that the architectural approach will prioritise integration with the surrounding landscape, rather than imposing a dominant design. The hotel is expected to serve as the central feature of the overall scheme.
Stephan Schupbach, President and Group CEO of Chedi Hospitality, said Oman remains an important market for the brand, highlighting the global recognition of The Chedi Muscat. He added that Jabal Bausher offers an opportunity to develop a project shaped by its natural elevation and setting in collaboration with Rawasi Development.
Khalid Nasser Al Mahruqi, CEO of Rawasi Development, said the site’s distinctive landscape provides a strong foundation for a project that enhances its natural character while contributing to the continued growth of Oman’s hospitality sector.
