MUSCAT : The campaign runs daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and is being implemented alongside the municipality’s existing morning operations. It covers all wilayats in the governorate, with field teams focusing on areas most affected by mosquito and insect infestations.
Targeted zones include key districts across Muscat, Muttrah, Bausher, Seeb, Al Amerat, and Quriyat, particularly Riyam, Sidab, Muttrah, Ruwi, Darsait, Al Ghubra North, Al Khuwair South, Al Mawaleh, Al Hail, Al Mabelah, Ghala Industrial Area, and several residential and mountainous areas in Quriyat and Al Amerat. These locations have been identified based on higher reported pest density.
The municipality said the campaign is part of its broader public health and environmental management strategy aimed at limiting the spread of mosquitoes and reducing associated health risks.
Muscat Municipality has urged citizens and residents to cooperate with field control teams during the campaign, stressing that community participation is a key factor in ensuring the success of pest control operations and achieving public health objectives.
