Tehran: The move signals a gradual return to regular aviation activity in the country, with key airports now back in operation. Among those reopened are Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, alongside airports in Mashhad, Birjand, Gorgan, and Zahedan.
Officials confirmed that airlines are preparing to resume both domestic and international flights in the coming period. The update, reported by Iran’s Tasnim news agency, cited the secretary of the Association of Iranian Airlines, who noted that carriers are actively gearing up for operations as restrictions ease.
