MUSCAT – The initiative invites residents and beneficiaries across Oman to participate in a survey designed to measure satisfaction with current weather alert services and gather feedback for future improvements. The consultation is open until April 30, 2026.

According to the Authority, the survey will assess user satisfaction with weather alerts issued during adverse weather events, while also evaluating the clarity, timeliness and accuracy of the information provided to the public.

The Civil Aviation Authority said the exercise forms part of its ongoing efforts to enhance early warning systems and improve communication efficiency during weather events, ensuring that alerts reach the public in a timely and effective manner.

The consultation also seeks to collect suggestions and observations from users, which the Authority said will be used to further develop its services and improve the overall beneficiary experience.

The Authority pointed out that public participation will play a key role in shaping future enhancements to weather alert systems, contributing directly to improved preparedness and public safety during exceptional weather conditions.

The Authority encouraged all residents and stakeholders to take part in the survey, stressing that feedback will help refine the delivery of warnings and strengthen the national response framework for weather-related events.
