MUSCAT – During the meeting in Oman, the Thai official expressed his government’s and people’s appreciation for Oman’s swift humanitarian response and constructive cooperation in evacuating the crew of a Thai vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
The discussions reviewed opportunities to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries across various economic and commercial sectors, according to the Royal Court Affairs.
The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international developments and their impact on the global economy, as well as on the security and safety of maritime navigation.

The Thai Deputy Prime Minister listened to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s assessment of the evolving situation, and praised the Sultanate’s approach in addressing regional challenges through dialogue and support for diplomatic and political solutions aimed at understanding and addressing their underlying causes.
