NEW DELHI : Noor Ahmad regained his form impressively during Chennai Super Kings’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), following guidance from MS Dhoni. CSK’s bowling coach revealed that Dhoni had an in-depth and extended discussion with the young spinner during a practice session, advising him to focus on enhancing his leg-break deliveries. This advice helped Noor fine-tune his technique and strategy, reflected in his disciplined and effective bowling spell.
Noor delivered an exceptional performance, taking three wickets while maintaining tight control, playing a crucial role in breaking down KKR’s batting order. This comeback was notable after a series of lacklustre performances earlier in the season. Coaches attributed Noor’s improvement largely to Dhoni’s mentorship and tactical acumen, underscoring Dhoni’s lasting impact as a mentor and leader for young IPL talents.
