Washington: In a post shared on his platform Truth Social, Trump stated that Iran’s only remaining “threat” lies in the deployment of sea mines, which he claims Iranian vessels have placed in the Strait of Hormuz.
He further asserted that the United States has begun the process of clearing these mines, framing the action as a service to major global economies including China, Japan, South Korea, France, and Germany.
“We’re now starting the process of clearing out the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to Countries all over the World,” Trump said, emphasizing the international importance of maintaining safe passage through the waterway.
