MUSCAT – Targeting gold and jewellery shops, electrical and electronic appliance stores, as well as children’s toy outlets, the campaign is aimed at strengthening oversight and enhancing cooperation between public and private sector entities.
The Authority’s inspectors verified the accuracy of weighing scales, checked adherence to regulatory requirements, and ensured that products carried the Gulf Conformity Mark (G-Mark) along with QR codes where required.
Authorities said the initiative aims to enhance product safety standards, protect consumer rights, and maintain a stable and transparent market environment.
