MUSCAT – According to the alert, southwesterly winds will intensify over governorates overlooking the Arabian Sea from April 5, while northwesterly winds are expected to be active across Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North and South Al Batinah, and Al Dakhiliyah. The conditions are forecast to persist for several days.
The weather system is expected to cause moderate sea conditions, with wave heights reaching up to 2.5 metres along the Arabian Sea coasts, Musandam, and the Sea of Oman.
Authorities also warned of dust and sandstorms in desert and open areas, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility.
