MUSCAT – In a statement, the ministry said it is adhering to the highest standards of clarity in assessing candidates, ensuring fair access to opportunities while fostering a competitive, merit-based environment that strengthens institutional credibility in Oman.

“We also strive to establish an environment founded on trust, one that encourages competition, efficiency, and merit, contributing to the enhancement of credibility,” it added.

The clear process, as shared by the ministry, begins with the announcement of vacancies through the Ministry of Labour or the Ministry of Health. Each listing clearly outlines required qualifications, application deadlines, and necessary documentation to guide applicants across Oman.

Applicants must register and upload documents through the ministry’s health portal within a specified timeframe. Only submissions made through the official system are considered, with late or incomplete applications automatically excluded to maintain fairness and consistency.

Applications are reviewed against predefined requirements, including academic qualifications, relevant experience, professional assessments, and training credentials where applicable. Evaluations follow Ministerial Decision 160/2024, incorporating criteria such as graduation seniority, recent work experience, and specialized training, each assigned specific weightings.

Candidates meeting the minimum threshold advance to the next stages, which may include written exams and personal interviews. Interview performance is assessed separately, with a minimum passing score required to remain in contention.

Successful candidates are ranked based on cumulative scores, with top performers selected according to available vacancies. Their names are then published to initiate formal appointment procedures.

The ministry pointed out the importance of carefully reviewing job requirements, submitting accurate and clearly formatted documents, and adhering strictly to application guidelines.
