Drone strike hits Bahrain petrochemical plant, fire contained without casualties

Manama: According to Bahrain News Agency, several operational units of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. were struck by drones reportedly launched from Iran. The attack led to a fire breaking out within the affected sections of the plant.

Emergency response teams acted swiftly to contain the blaze, successfully extinguishing the fire and preventing further escalation of the situation. Officials confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

Specialised technical teams have since been deployed to the site to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the damage. Authorities are currently conducting a detailed inventory to evaluate the extent of the impact on the facility’s operations.
