Muscat: By the end of 2025, the cumulative number of commercial registrations reached 19,996.
Abdulaziz Naseeb Al Araimi, Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, affirmed that the economic indicators recorded during 2025 reflect growing confidence among entrepreneurs and investors in the governorate’s business environment. He noted that the significant increase in the number of commercial registrations and the activity in the contracting sector reflect an accelerated developmental momentum witnessed across various wilayats in the governorate.
He added that the department continues its efforts to streamline procedures, enhance digital transformation and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs), thereby contributing to attracting further high-value investments and achieving the targets of sustainable economic development.

At the wilayat level, Bidiyah topped the list with 531 new commercial registrations during 2025, followed by Ibra with 298 registrations, Al Mudhaibi with 289 registrations, Al Qabil with 286 registrations and Sinaw with 179 registrations, while Wilayat Wadi Bani Khalid recorded 47 records and Dima’a Wal Taiyeen recorded 35 registrations.
