MUSCAT : Rescue teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Unit in Oman’s North Al Batinah Governorate responded to a drowning incident involving a child in a wadi in the Wilayat of Al Khaboura, authorities said.
The child was retrieved from the water but was found deceased at the scene, according to officials.
No further details were immediately available on the circumstances leading to the incident. Authorities have repeatedly urged the public to exercise caution around valleys and flood-prone areas, especially during unstable weather conditions.
