Oman condemns Israeli Knesset’s ‘Execution of Prisoners’ law

The Sultanate of Oman has denounced the Israeli Knesset’s adoption of the so-called ‘Execution of Prisoners’ law, citing its violations of international humanitarian law and the rights of prisoners and detainees.

MUSCAT – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement condemning the Israeli Knesset’s approval of the execution Law, which violates international humanitarian law, particularly provisions pertaining to the protection of prisoners and detainees.

Reaffirming its categorical rejection of any measures that seek to legitimise attacks on the lives of Palestinian prisoners or undermine their fundamental human rights, Oman called on the international community to uphold international legal standards and ensure the necessary protection for all prisoners and detainees.
